Choose your distance.

Those are some great pics from your trip, I’ve always loved high desert. My distance would = zero bc I’ve always hated running, not my bag man. I was thinking more along the lines of fishing and hiking.

Wolves in Rocky Mountain National Park!

HUGE elk population there. Gonna be some well fed wolves!
We were camping there and felt the van shaking one morning. We had our bikes on the back and thought someone was trying to steal them (this happened earlier in the trip at Niagara falls. Looser gave up bc they were locked). Looked outside and an elk was chewing on one of the bike's handlebar grips.

Got to see what is left of Lake Manly (in Death Valley) on the way back from Texas (to see the eclipse). Telescope Peak in the background (hiked to the top 2.5 times...the 0.5 effort was 12/31/1999. Had camped around 10.5K ft and overnight low temps were too much for the better half to continue up in the morning, she wanted the calories to get out of Dodge.)
