Thoughts for the day:
1. Kelly is a narcissist. Why does he have the WC all season??? Mockery.
2. Jack Robinson is an incredible surfer. Whole other level.
3. Griffin flawlessly snatched defeat out of the mouth of victory.
4. Jordy, after many many years on tour, is finally looking like he wants to be a title threat. I wish he'd done that earlier in his career.

Does Kelly have the wildcard all season?

If so, it is because the WSL is floundering and needs him as a draw. What other reason could there be? They don't have to let him have it.

But it's time for him to bail. Let some other youngling have a crack at it.

@freeride76 - I'm almost 100% certain he's got tickets to both Fiji and Tahiti this year. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

MARGARET RIVER, Western Australia, Australia (Thursday, April 27, 2023) - Kelly Slater (USA) and Johanne Defay (FRA) have been awarded the WSL Season Wildcards for 2023/2024. The Season Wildcards gives Slater and Defay entry into Championship Tour (CT) events following the Mid-season Cut and entry into the first half of the 2024 CT season.

Kelly gets until Margarets then he is off again (if he fails to make cut, which he almost certainly will).

If gets to go to Fiji or Tahit, those will be separate event Wildcards.
