I remember seeing JJF compete at Pipe Masters in 2008. I think he was 15 at the time.
He was flirting with my GF's 15 y/o daughter in between taking photos on party waves with his 2 brothers and then puts on the jersey and goes out to compete with the big dogs in the contest. It was really cool to witness.

Anyone else think they underscored Caitlins 8.83 in the final? One of the judges gave it a freaking 9.7, I think I'm with him... over the foam ball, giant mutant wave. I think it was at least as good as Molly's 9.27.
Oh, and here's Carissa free-surfing just before she got eliminated.
