Governor Newsom said he confronted a Target worker in the Sacramento area who didn't stop a thief from stealing. He then says the worker told him "The governor lowered the threshold" and that there's no accountability, before she recognized him and asked for a photo.

Though Newsom didn't say what he saw the shoplifter steal or the value of it, he told the worker that at $950, California has the tenth toughest threshold in the U.S. for grand theft.

Wow. Hopefully that isn't like the death penalty.

As an employee I'm not touching anyone that is going out the door with product. Stopping them would probably put you in danger of facing assault charges. If the Gov was so gung-ho why didn't he stop the thief himself? Citizens arrest. Go Gavin.
