Georgia Peach

Pretty sure she was the wild little sister of Pipeline Madman Tony Roy. She came to a Halloween party at our house at Three Tables dressed in full S & M gear complete with whip and handcuffs then proceeded to flash all and sundry. That was the first Brazilian wax I had ever seen.

Yea, there were actually a couple of women running around then, very, very few though by comparison to men. Too bad I did not know to check out the action at the Waimea caves. We had to settle for wayward Brigham Young students from Kuhuku or the naughty gang of Philapina girls from wahiawa who would regurly troll the N.S. for loose action.

Mostly it was just sitting on the beach drooling over the red hot Shirley Rogers and hoping we wouldn't get lickins from her boyfriend Brian Seuratt.
shirley was eddies girlfriend, not brians. i was in love with her too.

Bonzer5-I was stoked to see you mention all those lessor know "Pipe underground" surfers. Gion, Lundy, etc were amazing at Pipe. Paul Dunn was fearless there and got a couple cover shots at Pipe. He is still GM at Jamison's in Haleiwa. Sadly, his tow partner "Python" died of an OD a several years ago. His memorial was at backyards and some of the names mentioned in this thread were in attendance. Some still surf and looked healthy, while others not so much.

Sadly, drug addiction has destroyed the lives of more great surfers from that era than Pipe itself.

H Bill?
Paul?? Is that the same guy that was bartending @ Jamieson's in the 80's with a beard?? I spent alot of time between there and Steamers on some evenings after bbq Prawn Feedings @ Waimea.

just wondering is all...
Hey Peter, no that was a guy named Jim. There were two or three main bartenders back then (actually half the 80s staff STILL works there...lol). Jim Sear was real tall and the shorter guy with the bread was also named Jim, but I forget his last name. There was also another short bartender named Joe.

Paul was clean shaven and worked upstairs as waiter. Back then the upstairs was more fine dining and downstairs was the main bar and casual less expensive dining.

If you hung at the bar in 80s we might have met. I worked upstairs busing tables from 86-89. Hitting the bar after work was pretty typical for me back then.

BTW-that was the best surf job ever! We started at 4pm and were off by 10-11. The tips were killer and we could surf all day before shift. Thats why there are still some of the same surfers working there 20 years later.
Jimmy is the bartender, paul is at the front. beck is on the other side of the bar.

My favorite JD quote. I was rippin Haw. We'd laugh but full well known, yes he was rippin consistantly and stylish, no holes barred in or out of the water. Women, waves pure focus on getting the biggest badest pit. Simple smiling crazyeyed stoke to make the most of a giant Pipe barrel. Caught more tubes than most on that Big Red paddle machine. The hand drag perfection in that famous poster has to be one of the best all time beauties. Classic. Hope hes good. His kids should know how fearless their dad is. So many standout Pipe chargers. We all shared some great times. BB

Jackie Dunn is alive, well and just beat cancer. He surfed again yesterday for the first time in 10months. He’s a pretty rad guy.

My sister in law asked me a couple days ago if I knew a surfer named Jackie Dunn, he lives in her complex in Carlsbad. I cracked up, he asked her the other day if she knew who he was that he was a pretty famous surfer, she told him nope!!!! I talked to him about a year ago he was putting a 9'0 gun on the roof of his car, I didn't recognize him but I could tell he knew how to ride that board at sometime in his life.
