Kids love novelty. No such thing as high quality online teaching for young students. Lemonade at best. old guy out.
I've had the kids be all in with the tech and as soon as we start doing the real work, they lose it.
Yes, cognitive strain is uncomfortable.
I have found the same to be true in my work. I don't know who's worse, high school or college students.

It's too easy to get distracted.
I know I'd end up with two windows open, one with the teacher, and one with the erBB or something, and its obvious to know which one I'd be paying attention to
I honestly think the overreaction can have more long-lasting negative effects, both economically and socially
However, I'm not going to argue anymore, I'm not going to call anyone stupid for freaking out, and I'm going to be more respectful.
