Ticket prices go up and down like a goddam yo-yo. 1989 my first trip to Europe I flew LAX-LHR for about $600. Flew LAX-LHR a couple years ago for just over $500.

I got full refund. . Accommodation. Meals Transportation and $500 in flight credits. I was pissed. Wrote a few letters

the problem is you have to call and ask for it. lots of people to lazy to do that - but also lack the patience to deal with phones (trying to get a human) these days, let alone if its a foreign airline.
The problem is regulating a “solution” to a non-existent problem that will inevitably increase cost to consumers.
All for a naked election year pander.

i mean - its a pain in the fkn ass. calling the bank, airlines, pretty much anythingthese days gets my blood going but so would not getting a refund for a service that wasnt provided.
im also amazed how many people dont know about charge backs.. could be easier than dealing with the airline directly.
