So far you said the ships were based in the US, ignoring the actual mission was being led out of Bahrain, and that we don’t need that base. My questions are simple follow ups.

Lets be honest here, there is only one product anyone really cares about that is shipped through this route. Lets get it elsewhere.
You act like our economy is imports. Americans export products through these routs too.
But I guess your idea makes sense if it’s limited to the Red Sea. But abandoning bases also leaves the South China Sea open. It leaves Central America/Panama Canal open. It leaves the Strait of Malacca open. Do we just write those routes off too?
