nursing homes deaths represent about 1/3 of NJ deaths, still a huge number. Still worth a state investigation, which is happening (I think).
So are these facilities primarily private or state-run?
Should we also star blaming hospitals for all the people who died during the pandemic?

In retrospect, it's easy to see where mistakes were made. You should look around more though - because there are plenty of other states/people who fucked it up too.
Also, Trump just said today that he listened to everything Fauci told him and then decided not to do it. "It," of course, being crack down harder, faster and longer.
I've never denied the toll of this virus on the elderly and those with co-morbidities. The virus was never worth the panic it caused in the general population. The left exploited the situation for political gain. Its no more complex than that.
