From a purely business sense, for Bezos and Amazon, its been mostly a decades-long winning streak. To hear them even with a minor hiccup becomes newsworthy in a way
sucks that these have become public BEFORE they happen.

Amazon, Twitter, Meta, Stripe and FTX. Lots of layoffs and downsizing happening. Are we watching another bubble burst in real time?
All of these companies had to expand and hire like crazy during the pandemic. They were losing money by not being able to fulfill demand at that time. As demand tapers off, stocks trend down and inflation goes up it's expected that all of these companies will trim the fat.
Because months ago Bezos called Biden out on a few idiotic tweets he made about inflation.
