I've got a Sunstone in Varial carbon that I absolutely love. Ridden from knee high to well overhead, it has become my go to fish, and go to board for when the forecast is iffy. Beefy but doesn't feel like it when it's up and riding. Catches absolutely everything and has yet to slide out. Mine is about 3 or so liters over my normal volume.A couple of you guys riding a Sunstone right? Overall thoughts on it?
Kinda like buying new jeans that are already distressed with holes but for surfboards.View attachment 128374
Whoever is doing the glassing really should just give up.

I'd go thicker 2 3/4"My (new) board buying moratorium is finally almost over. Been a long two years. I am set on a varial twinsman. I’m 6’x190 (200 lately ). I ride a 5’10” x 20“ x 2 5/8” 32L nicely foiled stumps GX and a 5’8”x21x 2 5/8” 36l banjo as my dd’s.Ive been finding not much drawback to more volume lately.
I’m thinking stock dims 5’10“ swallow tail infused epoxy 646 with futures. STOCKED to finally order this after so much lusting over the rave reviews here. Pre-sharing this info with no receipt screen cap is very anti yolo but the stock is high.
I was thinking about it after your recent posts. Did you ask them to do anything different with the rails when you bumped up the thicccness?I'd go thicker 2 3/4"

No, I had a stock 5'8 at 2 3/8" and loved it but added more thickness with the same rails/deck. Feels really good. I think Album hides the foam really well. You should try Oste's board first.I was thinking about it after your recent posts. Did you ask them to do anything different with the rails when you bumped up the thicccness?
