7 1/2 and 14 (quad only).
8’4 Lyle Carlson 7 1/4 and 14 (five fin boxes)
8’10 Lyle same as 8’4.
I need a 7’0 Lyle Carlson gun. He’s doing it right.

Tell us more about the Lyle Carlson guns. I've been impressed with them at a distance, but have never seen close up shots or detailed descriptions. Seems like a good dude too.

He is a good dude. We have a mutual friend and I’ve met Lyle/rolled with him. He’s a very large man who makes very large boards for very large waves.
He makes them with flat decks that run thick. 4 inches + on a 10’0 is the norm. They have what Stretch calls “Aztec pyramid”. Like the deck is separate from the rails. It keeps the rails relatively pinched while also giving you a huge amount of volume. Hard to describe but this IG post is a good example.
Baby swallow tails seem to be the most common. Wide point forward....

He worked for Danny Hess his good freind for a while - both loved to surf Mavericks
I met Danny at Stretches and I saw him again with Lyle in Hawaii
He told me with a big smile he made one of his Maverick guns a 5 fin
We all laughed about several things - a fun visit
