Crazy photos. The 1855 Wairarapa quake lifted a good chunk of the south east coast of the north island about 6 feet. The exposed south coast around wellington is largely unrideable because of exposed reefs... there are a few exceptionsr32 said:drone video of earth split from the earthquake in NZ.
Some areas of the sea were forced upward several meters

But it'll take a few hundred thousand years for the waves to smooth out some of those reefs. So much potential along there.
