Low of 9 in Austin...Low of 16 in Houston...not getting warmer til Wednesday.

This isn't gonna be good....except for funeral homes, plumbers, tow trucks and auto body shops.

My buddy outside of Portland has been without power for days now. Claiming they might not get it back on until Friday..??..They‘re calling it a historic ice storm.

Fire up the solar panels and windmills.:loser:

They'll be fine.:bricks:
This is precisely why they are out of power. Frozen windmills.

This is an example of why I keep saying it is impossible to meet our energy needs with wind and solar.

And guess how they unfreeze the windmills...go on, take a guess!

I saw a video.

Battery powered drones with little squirt hoses of water (warmed I would guess by some fossil fueled heat source).

Hope they keep those drones charged 24/7.

damn slurpdog, did an electric car bang your wife or something?

according to this article: " Most of the power knocked offline came from thermal sources, Woodfin said, particularly natural gas."

I'm sure it has nothing to do with Texas's grid which is deregulated and largely disconnected from other states...

More common is helicopters spraying petrochemicals on them but drones are good too.
