I have continued to perfect my pot roast. Grass fed chuck roast goodness. This wine, from Gianni Buonomo in OB, is Lagrein, a rare varietal in CA. On its own, not one of my favorites, but paired with the right herbs and root vegetables and aged cheese, it is superb.

For central coast wine people, Piedra Creek makes a nice lagrein. They even do a rose.
