Hey copilot who are the most prolific posters on the surfer magazine message board?
Certainly! The **SURFER Magazine Forum** is a lively online community where surfers gather to discuss all things related to surfing. Let's take a look at some of the most prolific posters on this forum:
1. **Jack-the-Ripper**: A frequent contributor who initiated a poll asking how many posters are surfers. Interestingly, many posts on the forum don't directly relate to surfing¹.
2. **LarryTate**: Shares the sentiment of being annoyed when non-surfing topics dominate discussions. LarryTate participates in a BBQ forum where surfing comes up quite often¹.
3. **gbg**: This member points out that a significant number of people arguing in the politics forum don't actually surf¹.
4. **Chocki**: Known for their witty comment about Charlie, who may not surf anymore but continues to snowboard like a champ during winters¹.
5. **mundus**: Always ready to discuss surfing whenever there are waves¹.
6. **elcalvo**: Claims to be the sole surfer among the posters, adding an intriguing twist to the conversation¹.
7. **One-Off**: Playfully questions, "What's a surfer?" and wonders if bodyboarding and bodysurfing count¹.
Remember, the forum is a diverse space where surfers and enthusiasts share their thoughts, experiences, and passion for riding the waves! ♂¹².

The complexity of tasks that can be accomplished by careful arrangement of “on/off” makes dumb people believe the robots are coming for us allI'm curious - why do so many of you have such a boner for AI?
That's drastically oversimplifying things. The complexity of tasks that can be accomplished by careful arrangement of “on/off” makes dumb people believe the robots are coming for us all

If AI can create it, AI can spot it.I can see people, or dictator states using it to create fake videos and propaganda. Due to its exponential learning growth I imagine that in a few years the fake videos will probably be hard to distinguish from the real thing.
Imagine all the....for lack of a better term, "Simpletons" that would be exposed to such real life videos and they don't know they are being created by AI. Imagine mass human reactions..History has shown that mass human populations are very susceptible to propaganda.
Imagine having the power of all of humanities knowledge, from science to economics to anything you want to know at your fingertips "instantly". Every time a new technology emerges there is always some shithead that uses it to do bad stuff. Now do you see the potential issues?
I think at that point, it’ll be about proving something is real vs fake. And more than likely that will be an entire industry: truth verification. If AI can create it, AI can spot it.
Plus fees, of course.I think at that point, it’ll be about proving something is real vs fake. And more than likely that will be an entire industry: truth verification.

We have already passed peak "AI".*
The LLM's will only get worse as the large tech companies start to figure out how to monetize them.
Just like how google/facebook/insta/twitter/amazon/uber/etc. are all worse products than they were 5-10 years ago.
*I think AI is more of a marketing term than an accurate descriptor at this point.
That thing has to be plugged into a huge computer, no? It's not just a free-standing unit?

Troll game is off the charts
We haven't even got started on the AI thing. This is a long term thing. There will be dips. There always is. But the future is robots and AI. May not be the future we want, but it's the future we're going to get.Okay, here is my hot take:
