They're so incredibly stupid I refuse to shoot them but have eaten them and they're great. You can literally tap them on the forehead with your spear tip and they don't . It's fun to crack open sea urchins and watch them go to town. It seems like big males have been taken at so many of the more fished reefs along on the coast, and the females that morph into the new male are then taken, repeat and over time the male sheepies at that reef get smaller and smaller and it's rare to see big males. Another reason I don't shoot them.^^ Nice!
How are those Sheephead for eating?
The Sheephead we have here are a different fish altogether.
They’re really comfy and hold up to neglect. Sand rinses out really easily.Hey! Makes for interesting conversation around the pool.
Is it just me or do they give you the urge to pee on them?

Yup. When I noticed it was a black drum following it I slowed my retrieve down and it was just a subtle little bite that hooked him. I got the bite/fight on video as well. I'll have to get it uploaded on YT so I can post it.Black drum on a chartreuse skitterwalk??
That is gonna put a hurt on offshore fishing, good for the boats who can get out.
I was fishing a white fluke on a dropshotLooks like a nice NB flatty! Used to love chucking white swimbaits and dropshots for those as a kid there.
