It's great, Steve. Very very versatile, but it doesn't grovel or glide in tiny waves with its narrow tail.

Was curious about the Long Phish for a long time, and I wanted to know more about its low end.

(But yes, I could whittle my quiver down to 6'8 Wolverine and 6'10 DS and cover 90% of the waves I surf. Edit: if only I could add Pyz2 and the 8'0 Keogh...)

Gotcha.

I was riding a Joel Fitz Cosmic Twin - 6'10" and had an absolute ball in 2ft waves at the Pass and 2ft Waikiki style waves out in front of the Pub.

would be rad for those waves and anything slopey.

View attachment 172549Here you go Maz. The bottom constantly transitions. Feels aggressive by hand. Tail is fairly flat transitioning to concave V in the middle to some v to flat in the nose. A lot of nose rocker for a fish dna board.
@urchined WOW!!! So I'm set on ordering a 6'4-6'6 long fish type board. Was going with a moonstone for versatility in beach break but that CC long phish II looks insane. Any more ride reports? Or feedback?

A random clip I ran across yesterday of a guy on a 6'6" moonstone. Crappy rewind footage but shows how well it goes on rail and redirects for a longer straighter fish

Real Nice. They don’t usually have channels like this one, right?

Yeh they usually don't. I've seen some one offs , but more rare. Out of the couple I've had, I've never thought...."i wish this board had channels". Works great as is.

DK’s Swordfish model is a great candidate. 19D6F1FD-A83B-4C62-BAB5-BB48C2656168.jpeg

Its tail is wide enough for grovelling but still offers control at speed. IIRC the tail on my 5’11” is a touch over 8” at 0”.

The Vesper seems like another good option for this kind of shred.
