Advanced Session is one wave, going both left and right:
The Peak (powered by PerfectSwell®)
This wave gives you the variety and setups you need to push your surfing to the limit. Wave 1 is a steep runner, with a quick take-off and open face perfect for true top to bottom surfing; wave 2 stretches that face out a bit allowing for big wraps and end-section turns at full speed; wave 3 is a slopier take-off allowing you to pump into a steeper end-section for your biggest hacks; wave 4 provides the most stretched out sections for a punchy beach-break-like set up.

Pro Session is three different waves, but you have to choose either all lefts or all rights:
The Point
This runner provides three different looks to perfect your favorite turns. Wave 1 has the quickest take-off and steepest first section to set up bigger individual turns; wave 2 gives you a longer middle section to string together a variety of maneuvers; and wave 3 had a more drained out end section for the occasional cover or punt.
The Ramp
Our world-famous air wave has had so many picts and vids taken at this point, it’s starting to go to her head. Take a shot at the same ramp that’s become a social media superstar and see what all the fuss is about.
The Wedge
This one gives you a nice chip in take-off that’ll have you set up for back-dooring the perfect cover.

The Pro Session is $300 for 1.5 hours. These waves have never been open to the public before this year.
Dang! Never been open to the public. You gonna try and boost some airs?

I wonder if they have a media package or something were you can pay to have someone film you or photograph you?
That would be pretty sick.

They have a filmer you can either hire private for $300 per hour or he films the overall pro session, but only uploads makes. Then you can buy your make clip for $30 each. Added pressure!

All advanced sessions are photographed and you can buy photos if you want. $20 each photo, I think.

Does anyone know how the Pro Session is vs. the Advanced Session?

The Pro Session disclaimer had me wondering what kind of wave it is??
Pro Level Disclaimer:
By selecting the Pro Session, you are signing up to surf the largest, and most powerful waves we offer to the public. These waves are difficult to ride and catch even for professional surfers. These waves have the power to break boards and seriously injure people. Consistently wiping out and not catching these waves makes you a danger to yourself and to others in the lineup. If you are deemed by our water patrol to be below the skill level it takes to ride these waves, you will be asked to vacate the surf lagoon and we will reschedule you in a session appropriate for your skill level at no cost. We want everyone who rides our waves to have the best and safest experience possible.
No doubt to stop peeps like old mate at 2:17. Sooo pitted!

I hate to admit this, but having gone to waco and now back and surfed in the ocean a few times I can see why Noel wouldn't mind moving. Waco is just too fun and so many waves. You get about 25-30 an hour, with each wave being 3-4 turns. If you did a two hour session that would be almost 60 waves and 180 plus turns. How long would that take you in the ocean? After three days of shredding, it wasn't my arms or my legs that were tired it was my core and my hips from doing so many turns. I probably did over 700 turns in 3 days (9 hours total in the pool, pro session is less waves but airs and barrels are included). You don't even paddle that much, so older dudes can surf more and longer than in the ocean.

How long would it take you to do 700 good snaps in the ocean?

The only thing that would be prohibitive is cost. At $120 an hour, how much can you spend per week? Per month? If noel gets a discount for coaching or promoting, then I could see it being really fun for him.

My buddies and I were trying to guess how much surfing would scratch the itch per week? We came to the conclusion that 3 hours would be enough, but since you'd want to go back to back session to optimize time - two days per week with two 1-hour sessions each day would be more great. That's 4 hours per week. That would cost $480 per week. Too expensive for me though, but if I lived in Texas, where everything was incredibly affordable compared to Hawaii, I might entertain it. Otherwise, I'd have to do 2-3 sessions per week.

Wouldn't you get bored with it though?
nah each of the 1-4 waves are different. Also, trying to get vertical is still a challenge. You could really spend time getting your snaps perfect. I'd say out of 700 turns, maybe 100 were fins free. And out of those fins free, I'd say 30 are what I consider to be A+ positioning and timing and among the best turns I've done in my life (30 years of surfing). I'd love to get to the point where every turn is what I consider to be a really really good turn. I'd LOVE to nail every turn perfectly. That would be the goal. I don't know if you could reach it.

Then there's the airs.

Barrels are kinda whatever. They're cool but don't compare to the ocean in any way. The good barrels in the pool are too short and the long barrels aren't hollow enough.

You’re convincing be that I have to visit there. I thought it might be too small a wave but sounds like you had a blast and I think I am about your human dims.

Each to his own but that sounds like fcuking for practice like a porn star.

At least half of the enjoyment I get from surfing is being in the ocean, whether my 53'rd top turn is as good as my 52'nd top turn or not.

Almost everyone I know who has surfed Wavegarden got bored with it pretty quickly just because mechanistic aspect leaves you feeling kinda dull.

I can't imagine showing up at Waco for session 300 and still feeling stoked trying to eke out a miniscule performance improvement.

The all sounds like trying too hard in my view.

I 100% get that sentiment as well. I love being in the ocean. And a firing day in the ocean will always beat a pool.

Looking at Noel the guy clearly would practice fcking as a porn star lol that’s why I said I can see why he did it.

For me, ideally I’d do a mix of pool and ocean surfing. I can feel the muscle memory from the pool after surfing it. With kids now, I have a love/hate relationship with the variability of the ocean. But nothing will beat the ocean.

Me and the fam went to Big Bear today and I kind of got the feeling the pools are like getting reps in at the park. It was too slushy to have fun laying into carves on the main slopes, but the half-pipe was a pretty forgiving.

I grew up skating so I can look halfway decent for a 51 year old and got some good feeling boned-out BS & FS airs at a respectable height out.

I land a decent air in the ocean pretty rarely nowadays. I’d love to get in a pool and get some video evidence of an air or two (like racer’s) before my body tells me it’s time to start cruising and I’m eyeing mid-lengths.

I’ve landed maybe 10 airs in the past 5 or 6 years. I landed 3 airs in 20 minutes in the pool. I can’t wait to go back and hit it faster / bigger. The secret why everybody gets so much pop is that little wave that goes in front, you ride down the back of that like you’re dropping in on a mini ramp.
