I don't' understand this one.
Dems would think some of those things are good. Cons would think some are good. Who is the target audience?
No, it is a net negative for the majority of society that have paid back their loans or did not take one out to begin with.
Should the fees and interest rates of these loans be revised to make them more favorable to the person who has student loan debt? Yes. Forgiven? No.
Student loan forgiveness is a net positive for everyone
How is it a net positive for the person that did not take out a student loan and is now on the hook to cover these forgiven loans? The plumber making $$$ without going to college is now responsible to cover this forgiveness. How is that a net positive for that person?
Student loan forgiveness is straight up pandering for votes. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not saying you're entirely wrong but more money circulating among the middle class is a good thing. Trickle down is bullshit but lateral flow works extremely well.
This forgiveness will be taking money away from the middle class in the form of higher taxes. The extra $100 - $400/mo. they will have each month for not honoring their commitment will be wasted on Starbucks, bad tattoos and hard cider.
Restructure the loans but do not forgive them.
Yeah, I kind of lose the track when our government is paying them off via taxes. That's bullshit - I'd rather say to the banks/lenders to eat the loans or as you suggested, restructure. Maybe apply paid (high) interest towards remaining balance too.
And yes, a lot of these people consume like hell, which also has driven up our inflation. And don't forget the Wavestorms. Bastards. One percentage point extra for each bad purchase category.
