Disagree to a decent extent. They've been shilling all along since the election. They wouldn't do that if someone wasn't giving them money. My assumption is, they are getting money from anti-populist "Wall Street" GOP donors.
Look at the Romney/Cotton minimum wage bill, and Hawley advocating for the stimulus, at least when Trump was still in office. IMHO the donor class of the GOP is souring on the neophyte populists in their ranks angling to preserve Trump's new voters.
These people don't do political ad passion projects. It's not a labor of love. The battle for the future of GOP fiscal/economic doctrine appears to be underway to me.
