I was referring to Hal’s contribution in his own words, “Trumby is los the plot.”, not the following tweet.
Trump has lost the plot. Or there is a new municipality called Los Theplot which is LA but bigger, beautiful, everybody's talking about it, believe me.
Trump has lost the plot. This election would have been a slam dunk if he decided to lead by example and be a figurehead. I understand it's not Commander in Chief, nominating an SC Justice, or signing legislation, but it's effective use of the Presidential bully pulpit to lead response at the citizen level. To encourage good behavior among the dumbest, most easily led, who look to figureheads for this kind of guidance.
Given his poll numbers, even internally, look like dogshit, Trump has lost the plot trying to postpone the election. Maybe this gambit is a tactical failure to facilitate a strategic victory. I doubt it. Even if he wins, which I still think is close to more likely than not, this was a tactical failure without a broader purpose, because he downplayed Covid and decided to be a partisan asshole rather than affect being above it all for Merka. Which Bush/Rubio/Cruz/Obama/HRC/Kasich would all have done rather easily.
When DeSantis is telling you no, we're good, that is concrete solidly GOP partisans breaking:
The Republican governor again defended vote-by-mail after the president's tweets.
