it's one thing to not care or otherwise put any stock in (federal) leadership.

it's another to willfully elect someone you know will have a deleterious
effect on national institutions and economies
"Lets elect the most corrupt person possible to fight corruption" Ifail logic.

You have been defending him every step of the way as he attempts to set himself up has king, now you want Congress to take power back? Worst case of cognitive dissonance ever!
You've just proved that you haven't been following along at all, for years now

There are countless national institutions that need to be killed, not just injured

And the economy was WINNING BIGLY until some Chinese assholes decided they needed to eat bats

You can't expect the corrupt to fix themselves, there are simply too many of them.

Systems have to break down first

This is basic stuff

Perhaps he and the family surreptitiously entered Trader Joe's yesterday with masks, then ripped them off and started spitting everywhere...just for grins.

So dishonest, every time Trumps authoritarian tendencies were mentioned you responded with the always idiotic "orange man bad" or TDS. Are you trolling or delusional ?

I was referring to Hal’s contribution in his own words, “Trumby is los the plot.”, not the following tweet.
Trump has lost the plot. Or there is a new municipality called Los Theplot which is LA but bigger, beautiful, everybody's talking about it, believe me.

Trump has lost the plot. This election would have been a slam dunk if he decided to lead by example and be a figurehead. I understand it's not Commander in Chief, nominating an SC Justice, or signing legislation, but it's effective use of the Presidential bully pulpit to lead response at the citizen level. To encourage good behavior among the dumbest, most easily led, who look to figureheads for this kind of guidance.

Given his poll numbers, even internally, look like dogshit, Trump has lost the plot trying to postpone the election. Maybe this gambit is a tactical failure to facilitate a strategic victory. I doubt it. Even if he wins, which I still think is close to more likely than not, this was a tactical failure without a broader purpose, because he downplayed Covid and decided to be a partisan asshole rather than affect being above it all for Merka. Which Bush/Rubio/Cruz/Obama/HRC/Kasich would all have done rather easily.

When DeSantis is telling you no, we're good, that is concrete solidly GOP partisans breaking:

In 2016 it was "he's a madman with his finger on the nukular button and we're all gonna DIE !!!" Followed by riots because that usually what the left does when they lose a POTUS election.

This election is going forward and the results will stand. And if more votes get cast in Florida than there are voters in the U.S. then it is what it is.

China contiinues to flex bigly on India, Japan, Korea, and SCS in general

he's tantrum-withdrawiing from Germany which emboldens Russia's continued cross-border aggressions

Trump has erased plenty of goodwilil amongst long-standing US allies around the globe

The screeching was that he was a madman who was going to destroy humanity. He wasn't, and he hasn't.

But some people on the left most definitely did try to overthrow the results of the election. Up to and including committing political violence in the streets to accomplish by terror that which they couldn't accomplish in the election.

With that said, if enough people think this is an impeachable offense then by all means, let's do it again.

Trump is prepping the rubes in case he loses the election.

I don't think he should worry about it but because he's an insecure whiny little bitch, he has to have the excuse ready.

Yes, for a sure a tweet where a President raises an issue by asking a question is an impeachable offense.

FFS
The fact he prefers to eat steaks well done (especially as the owner of a steak company) should be enough to, well maybe not impeach, but at least be forced into a perpetual diet of cauliflower, turnips, and kale.

But yes, it is good to see that's where the Federalist Society draws the line.

People have no idea how much more dangerous the world is now compared to just a few years ago.
