Isn’t making predictions that never come true the opposite of science?
it sort of sounds like religion
A) Science is this:
1 Make (record) observations.
2 Figure out a hypothesis that you think matches the observations.
3 Devise experiment to test the hypothesis.
4 Record results of experiment, list possible sources of error.
5 Do results fit hypothesis?
6 If yes, publish for peer review.
7 If no, start over.
In short, science is a process where the answer is repeatable for all.
B) Religion is this:
1 I believe in XYZ/God told me XYZ
2 Everything else follows from XYZ
In short, religion is not science.
But this is just my simplified take on things. I don't claim my way of seeing things is the only way to see things.
