I chose not to surf it on a very low tide. It was the only spot my indo buddy told me it was shallow
Other spots I would be looking at the reef and ask is it shallow here?

I've snapped and buckled all 3 I've ever ordered, I'm actually afraid of ordering them now, although I'm tempted to get another one, but I find it far less durable than PU from my experience, but maybe I've just had a string of bad luck with them.
First one was the light glass one, the second and third I did 6/4. I've gone through 1 leash in the last 2 years lol mainly newport. Not a ripper or anything, but i'm not THAT fucking awful to snap boards like that, I've kept PU boards longer than that
Sounds like stringerless boars aren’t for you. I’ve never snapped a stringerless XTR but I kept them all under 5’8.
Their stringered boars don’t have quite the same flex, but are great- couldn’t imagine snapping one in normal conditions.
people used to say epoxy was more durable day to day but would snap easier. I think that was those tuflite garbage boards though.
