I had very very low expectations for Trump as president. Didn't even vote for him. I really did think he was a liberal progressive masquerading as a Republican. He has exceeded my expectations so far.

It's apparent that his supporters like him despite the untruths, not because of them. Trump has taken "character does not count" to an extreme that will change politics forever.
Candidates who were previously forced out for their affairs can now proceed without fretting the backlash. Now it's going to come down to whether or not they made someone feel bad, either during or after the fact.
