A lot of right wing bootstrappers don’t acknowledge those who laid the groundwork that allowed for them to be successful. Such as the roads and infrastructure that deliver their goods and services, or the pioneers, researchers and mentors who gave them guidance and built the knowledge base that they were able to expand on for their gain, etc etc
Then you have some bootstappers who have an “attitude of gratitude” so to speak, and they tend to be all over the political spectrum.
At the far left end of the spectrum, it is unthinkable to even suggest that someone’s life choices and lack of motivation played a role in their lot in life.
With everything, you can make a stronger argument for acknowledging the role of society and the individual.
