There's such separation between the rarefied air of the Capitol and the dirty bubble of lower middle class America. Politics aside, these assholes need to be reminded that they represent the people. I think storming the building, in all its clownish glee, is exactly the type of civil disobedience that would make Thomas Jefferson smile.

Well, she wasn't innocent. And the cop is on administrative leave while shooting is under investigation.

I'm Anti Trump, but I thought it was weird that Senate and House just carried on, hours after someone was murdered just outside the doors of the chambers. Seems very old timey colonial American.
Yeah, those people had no business being in the Capitol, but that shooting was bizarre. The cop came out of nowhere and just blasted her. I really couldn't see that she was doing anything wrong other than being there, but perhaps I missed it.

And the fact that congress carried on afterwards, is also bizarre, although I guess they felt it was important to certify the election and move forward.

Colonialism was the way it was, we fought to leave it or own it for ourselves. There is nothing wrong having that history, at all because we are slowly but surely moving on. When ocasio-cortes sais caulliflower is so colonial I'm like whatever bitch you can't be ashamed of that history., And cauliflower is a killer fuggin' vegetable, I guess she would prefer plantains?. We should have done our own housekeeping and that little princess wouldn't even be here, wouldn't even make it in the porn industry.
Fucggk her and her ungrateful little wannabe warrior friend s

Funny how , somehow, she gets singled out.

Perhaps accepting history with the ugliness along with the manufactured righteousness is a better way forward?
The myth making tends to be a problem down the line.

I haven't watched a ton of footage or dug too deep. Trying to reserve my conclusions.

What I feel is that this was really surreal to, in effect, have a demonstration led by internet click/clout chasers elevate to that level. Brilliant and saddening at the same time.

The footage I saw she was climbing through a broken window on barricaded door, inside the door congress members and Pence were trying to evacuate. DC Police behind her telling her to stop, Capitol Police inside the door telling her to stop with their guns drawn. As she got through, officer fired a kill shot.

They reported in the news that pence was in there.

He was on trump's hit list.

If I smashed my way into a govt building with a herd of intellectually stunted poor White trash from Middle America, I would expect to get shot. It's crazy that gun rights advocates are incredulous that someone breaking into a building with intent to do harm was killed by - wait for it -a gun.

I think if it was for any other sort of vote then they would have postponed.

I am surprised more people didnt get shot. How many posters have been in a situation where you are outnumbered and physical harm is a possibility?

In that situation what would you do if you had a gun?

I have to admit, I love to see chaos and I love to see both sides frustrated to the point of destruction.
Makes my life seem so simple and peaceful. Wish I cared about anything enough to travel to the District of Colombia.

At this point, this behavior is no longer surreal. It is very real. Look at the billions of dollars of destruction inflicted on this country last summer in the BLM riots. All of that was incited by internet rabble rousers.

It is a very terrifying, but real, aspect of our world now. The extremists listen to lies on social media, the internet, etc., and the mob forms.

Every thing has truely gone bonkers. If I cared enough about something to travel to DC I would be scared of me. Internet doxing has come of age, where does all this lead? Trial by internet. Skeery daze we are here.
