Hey all you locals. I thought I would just suggest that maybe we might send a card or something for SCR's Dad?! I don't know what exactly, but he is one of us, and he is in a sorry and sad state. I feel the need to reach out and make him smile somehow.

A wreath of flowers or something??? Any ideas?

SCR we care. I do anyway. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Bassy - any ideas?? I mean we are kind of a tribe here.

I want to help. People were there for me, when I lost my Mom, and it meant the world to me...

Ideas anyone??!!

I'm with you CritterCreature.
SCR, is there and address (church or ??) where cards & flowers can be sent, or an alternative to flowers you are requesting?

I know it might be soon for that info, but post it when you can, please.

Hope you're doing OK under the circumstances.

Let's see. When & last saw SCR he was stoked with his new Patterson. I know it's not a traditional wake kinda of thing. But, if he stops back by maybe I've got something to spruce up his board a little bit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

SCR,

You are showing strength beyond your years, man.

You are genuinely concerned with OUR feelings because you are sensitive to whether or not you are coming across as "rude".

That's pretty awesome, man! In your time of need, you are concerned with how you might have made US feel in your response to our posts.

That shows that you are a caring and compasionate guy because you are considering your father's wishes and concern for your friends here along with yourself.

I applaud you.

You are mature far more than we or you would have known if not for reading your last two posts.

Keep your head up, buddy!

Maybe a nice surf basket.... wax, wax comb, magnetic key holder, small ding repair kit... etc.

SCR - The thing that I'd like to do the most is paddle out with you again... but alas, I'm 850 miles away. I'm glad you had some solo surf time to clear your mind and recharge.

BTW, Critter, that's very cool of you to get this thing going!

Maybe a BB paddle out in honor of SCR's dad?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
If something were to happen Sunday, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your loved ones, SCR, unfortunately I'm attending a memorial for my friend.
Don't let anyone tell you "Keep a stiff upper lip, move on, blah, blah, blah," anything like that. I don't know what your relationship was with your dad, but i'm sure there are enough memories to keep you going and don't you forget any great times you had with him. Loosing someone is too damn hard, I know all too well, but not thinking about them is worse.

Saltrat - I'm sending you positive vibes. Went out and did the dawn patrol for myself and you!
It was storm surf. Mixed up messy...but a charge indeed!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

I'm still down to do something for you!!

And yes, it will get harder... if your mom wants to talk have her call/email me...remember I went through everything. I had to take care of all of my Mom's affairs after her passing... It was hell...

Prayers and good thoughts to you RAT.

HUGS.
