I voted for Hillary. :barf: It was definitely more of a vote against Trump. :barf: :barf:
Well, I assume we all have that thought process to a certain extent - it's not that usual these days to like both candidates and really struggle with the decision, is it?

Honestly, there were (R) in the field that I would have voted for over Hillary. But that wouldn't have been a vote against Hillary.

Trump is a Republican.
Republicans voted for Trump.
Trump cares not at all for the natural environment.
Trump cares not at all for the lives of school children massacred with ar15s.

The 2 party system ensures that the extremes of both parties run the show.
Used to be they'd make compromises to a degree....what happened?
Yeah, I agree. The two party system, for most of America's history, has worked as a nice way to make sure we stay fairly center. One party gets to govern for a while, and then the other. It was less about "winning" than just staying center.

What's changed over the past few decades is that many people seem to think American politics is a winner take all exercise. There are simply too many people now who will do whatever they can to make sure the other side NEVER governs again.

You can see it easily on this board - more on the right (GromsDad, squidly, coat hanger) but not exclusively.

I guess I’ve been focused on the negatives orchestrated by Republicans nationally.

I’d love to be reminded of any of the positives.

Dont bail now just because your party and your entire world view have been exposed as completely morally bankrupt
Sheesh. I'm out on the road for 5 hours away from a computer and we get a thread like this one. You miss me when I'm gone. Just admit it.
You never go away long enough to miss.

Predicting the extinction of the GOP again, are we?
You can’t be proud of your party right now.
do the modern GOP'ers, now thoroughly bereft of principles, even qualify as conservatives?

Republicans read this, pause for a moment, can’t think of anything positive, continue on to a different post.

Freed the slaves from their Democrat Party masters.

There's one we can all agree on.

He's been a registered Democrat far longer than he's ever been a registered Republican.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. :monkey:
