I love the Rhode Island shore but for the life of me I’ll never understand why they call milkshakes “cabinets”. That makes “water bubbler” seem not so crazy. And who the fvck wants “jimmys” on their ice cream?

Actually a nice coastline, good fishing, good waves by east coast standards. Would be on the list except I am not moving anywhere colder than the Dirty Jerz.

Lived there for a short time. Lots of beautiful beaches that you are not invited to.

It an also get pretty trashy when you go a couple miles inland. Pretty large toothless population. The county fair used to bring them all out of the woodwork.

Inland rural NE is as bad as anywhere for this.

did ironman 70.3 there when the swim was in the ocean at Narraganset. pretty boss as the ocean conditions played a huge differentiator. then it was moved to a lake near providence and it such sucked from then out. would not recommend

went to a halloween party once at URI. had a great time and ruggles as was breaking at chest to head but not really doing it's thing. still had fun. would maybe recommend.

block island, would recommend.

ugh - why do they microwave eggs!?!
why do they have so many roads with two lanes where drivers in one lane slow to let a car from a parking lot out - seemingly unaware that drivers in the other lane are not mind-melded with the other two!?

some great surf in the area though - once in a while
