Does anyone use FB marketplace for surf stuff? I don't use FB but my wife has been going nuts on it swapping kid toy type stuff.

My wife has made a new hobby of seeking free kid stuff from FBM.Everyday I come home from work to a new bag of toys or clothes she just scored.

A friend of mine had a fellowship and scored his whole apartment worth of stuff in 48hrs on FBM and unloaded it on there in 48hrs 9mo later.

Our routine is
1) My wife finds it.
2) My wife tells me when it needs to be picked up.

:roflmao:

I wish we knew about it 18 months ago.
The "Buy nothing" and "Mom" groups are awesome for gearing up.

My perspective in SoCal has changed due to lack of storage space in my home:

Internet person in SD: "Picked up a bunch of free stuff off FB Marketplace!"
Me: "oh that guy must be rich."

I have a friend that lives in Pac Heights, the furniture people leave outside on the curb in that neighborhood is unbelievable.

their trash is pretty much anyone else’s treasures. I mentioned to my wife she must have found SD’s equivalent on FBM. A lot of what she brings home is coming from multi million dollar homes.

It's called Curbmining.
I have clients in rich neighborhoods but feel it would not be wise if they saw me picking through their neighbor's discards. The Techobros in my neighborhood put out some gems.
