"So I'm living my life here in San Francisco also known as...."The City". Specifically in the Richmond District. I'm having trouble adjusting. I've been up and down the Coast of So Cal, so I've been very accustomed to the sunny weather. It's summer here in San Francisco, and I'm in my trench coat. WTF?? It's fucking cold!! I only own two pairs of shoes, my running shoes and my Diesels. The rest are flip flops, open toed, and at least 4 inch heel pumps. With the hills and public transportation as the main way of getting around, you could imagine how difficult it was to go to work in the ghetto Muni, in my BCBG heels. I feel like every thing here is so incovenient. I know it's a beautiful city, but I just have to get used to it. First, invest in some comfortable shoes with heels. It's all for the sake of my career. I just keep telling myself to get my CPA assurance hours done, and pass the exam and BAM! Move back to Los Angeles. I don't think I can stay. I'm lucky if I last more than 3 months, maximum would be 6. We'll see!
I really hate how the people here are not fashionable. My clothes are so "LA." I can't even wear my Chloes! FUCK!"

Good thing Nep is around to show her to the nearest Starbucks.

Must be a scary revelation for her to find out that no one gives a fuck that she paid $500 for the same sunglasses they sell at Rite Aid.

This really belongs on the punk or skater thread.

"So I'm living my life here in San Francisco....."

Initially I thought, "Noooooooo!!!!!!"

But after a second, I realized I'd never run into her...unless I'm at Mighty one night collecting a free drink from a bartending Nep and Alma has decided to check this particular hot spot out on that very same night.

I've been missing her at Paseo Colorado and the Westfield Santa Anita mall... Has she replaced her Armenian boyfriend with a Russian one from the Richmond? The only saving grace is there are fewer wetbacks in SF.

A couple of things:

The only Starbucks in the Richmond District is on the south side of Geary, between 18th and 19th Avenue. It is in the same building at the Wells Fargo. I used to go in there with coffee-induced diahrrea and use their bathroom, on my way back from Ocean Beach. I would get my coffee across the street, at Tart to Tart, and watch the blind man come in with his old wife every morning at 6:30 a.m.

I'm sure Alma will be right at home here if she just gives it a year or two. San Francisco is filled with her type. Especially in the Marina. In fact, SF likes to think of itself as sooo boho and underground when in fact it's a fast sinking ship, top heavy with double income young people who think their sh!t doesn't stink, who make about $300K to $400K combined annual salaries and who, frankly, can just suck my dick.

I'm not sure which touches me more. That our little Alma is growing up, getting a career and living life while still holding on to that youthful charm and exuberance we've all come to love, or that you all know who's speaking without attributing the quote to her.

(Damn, I promised myself I wouldn't do this...)

I had no clue until others chimed in but I find your electronic stalking both hilarious and frightening at the same time.

Nutty as she is...

I'd still hit it.

Well, aside from your fascination with Lubbock, Texas, surfing, Crantuckett ice cream, university education, frateral membership during said education, at least once meeting Random Guy and his wife while they were in your neck of the shore, and a few other sundry items, pretty much anyone who has followed your storied career here knows that Malarcus + Alma = some of the best stuff you submit.

A couple more things, SF is a great city, my favorite in the USA. To me, it's a city full of beauty & opportunity but it has faults, including the fact there seems to be a whole lot of losers there who resent anyone who makes a dollar more than them.

I arrived in 1988 dead broke, no job and little hope of getting one, My wife and I worked and saved like hell and made some $$$. I finally bought decent little $12,000 car w/ good MPG in the early 90's as my wife and I's first car and some wannabe socialist keyed it up in some misguided belief he had a right to do so.

I saw lots of things like this that drove me nuts.

Once we caught one of these pussies scratching my freinds car. I won't tell you what happened to him

'Dette....put on your 5" heels and stroll the Marina District on Friday and Sat nights, you'll be right at home.
Meet some buds and let them take you to MtTam, Napa, or anywhere East where it's always sunny and at least 80 degrees.
Get your butt 'dette up to Bolinas, Limantour, Drakes, Dillon, Doran, or SALT POINT STATE PARK and see the real NorCal.
Heck, get a ride down the coast to SantaCruz, bring your 4/3 and board, and you'll change your mind.
Heck, I'LL TAKE YOU !!

Sf not stylish enough for you??? i find that hard to believe coming from LA, sf is way more stylish (la is more trendy)

you want style though, you have got to move to NY

First off, don't like the weather? get used to it...

second, you won't be complaining about it in the fall

third, living in the sunset sucks, its totally boring, and there is nothing around...

fourth, get a car, sf public transportation sucks except the trains which only run in certain areas...

lastly, for a big city (or relatively) people in sf are really nice so make some friends

and oh yeah, sf has the best chronic in the us...
