I could see why you would want to go seeing those waves, Very rippable. I like how they show local surfers and not visiting pros. But because of the swell scarsity in that area my above advice still holds- go there for other reasons- to see your friend, soak in the local culture, take a trek up country....oh and be prepared for the beggars.
