Have you surfed El Salvador yet? Man, you guys have to check it out. Everyone told me I was nuts traveling there, that I was gonna get mugged and kidnapped by the cracked out poor people running barefoot down the streets with machine guns. It was nothing like that. I went through www.ParadiseAdventures.biz, they hooked up an awesome trip for super cheap. I stayed in a tiny hotel on a private beach in front of a perfect right called K59, surfed solo a lot of the time, and with just a few other people the rest of the time. La Libertad is pretty crowded though, but La Punta and La Bocana are worth the hassle. I visited the East, Las Flores goes on forever, and Punta Mango was super intense. One wave there can leave you drooling for months. Everyone was so friendly, the seafood was so fresh and the fruit was the juiciest I've ever had. The country is really beautiful too, I checked out the volcanoes and the mayan ruins, they actually let you walk on that $**t man! Anyways, I just wanna suggest El Salvador to anyone looking to take a trip this summer, its definately one of my favorite countries! Geez, that's a healthy sales pitch gringa! But trust us, those in-the-know, know. For going all that way to surf pretty good waves but certainly not super waves it is pretty freaking crowded (2 trips)..plenty of locals all surf there
