An ex-pro here has a theory that longer boards catch waves better. Take the same board, same volume, stretch it out and the longer board’s tail is going to feel the wave earlier. Make sense.

Too many variables. What type of waves are we talking about for starters?

I was 1/2 way through watching that vid yesterday after it just dropped and it went private! Was thinking to post that as well for counterpoint to the first video which kinda turned into mind numbing confusion. Cool to see it fixed.
Glen obviously fuckin hates dudes who come in and insist on "my volume".
Crusty older shapers rule.

Every lady's different - some like length, some like girth, but most agree that combination of both is preferable for best results with no extremes in either direction.
Long and thin goes too far in, short and thick does the trick.

Pity I’m in the short n thin camp

There must be a reason paddle boards are long and an 18 footer is faster than a 12 footer.

I’ve spent most of my surfing life battling longboards and know on a deep water, sloping wave volume helps little, length a lot.
