I thought he had a tremendous plan that would be unveiled and implemented on day one. Have we heard a description of this plan yet?StuAzole said:With 2 R's already opposed (Paul and McCain), what will Mr. Trump do to fulfill his first and loudest campaign promise? 7 years and 3 attempts with full control of the government just not quite enough I guess.
If you recall, costs were skyrocketing before Obamacare was implemented. Repealing it will not lower your rates.GromsDad said:When will democrats be held responsible for the absolute fvcking mess they've made out of our healthcare system? At what point do Democrats break ranks and start working with Republicans to fix things. Instead of pointing to 1 or 2 asshole republicans its time to point to the entire band of asshole democrats who make any change for the better impossible. Thank's to the democrats and a couple establishment RINOs it would be virtually impossible to get enough votes to change the spelling of a mis-spelled word in the ACA let alone make any sort of meaningful change. All of these folks need to be held responsible for the hardships they've created for middle class Americans.
I think the answer you were looking for was "as soon as Trump the great deal maker is in office." Sad.GromsDad said:When will democrats be held responsible for the absolute fvcking mess they've made out of our healthcare system? That is simply not accurate. Costs were increasing as they always had. Things were never as bad as the left made them out to be in their push to scare people leading up to the Obamacare vote. Once the various pieces of Obamacare went into effect not only did premiums explode, the quality of coverage you got for those premiums went down the drain in the form of exploding deductibles and out of pocket costs.Kento said:If you recall, costs were skyrocketing before Obamacare was implemented. Also the fact that our healthcare system was a mess before the ACA was even a draft. The democrats didn't do sh!t to create a mess, it already was one and is. The ACA has less to do with creating that mess than the system itself. Maybe it that wasn't the case the ACA never would have even become an option.Kento said:If you recall, costs were skyrocketing before Obamacare was implemented. Perhaps if the Democrats hadn't made the mistake of appeasing Republicans with over 100 amendments and just stuck with single-payer, we wouldn't be in this mess.
Also, during the latest repeal attempts, the Republicans specifically did not solicit the Democrats input on anything.
Nothing will change as long as the health insurance companies' greed is not reined in.
not necessary accurate. people who didn't have insurance cause of the high cost were not buying. and those with preexisting conditions were being denied covered and paying out of pocket. then there's the whole group using the emergency room for general care. true premiums went up for some people. that should be addressed by allowing cross-state insurers to offer plans in various markets. And it's also true that only about 50K were affected by insurers pulling out of various state county exchanges before and shortly after the election. That was then extrapolated to be "the whole system is collapsing". It's also true that Atena's threat to withdraw from the ACA is related to anti-trust claims against them.GromsDad said:That is simply not accurate. Costs were increasing as they always had. And nobody was fvcked over, left bankrupt or left behind under the old system right?GromsDad said:Actually people are being fucked over quite badly specifically because of Obamacare.
Yes, costs were increasing as they had, at a much higher rate than after Obamacare.GromsDad said:That is simply not accurate. Costs were increasing as they always had. Not only that, but common things like saline IVs can cost over $500 when they cost less than $10 to make.stu dog said:people have been getting fucked over by the whole medical industry, ACA or not. By the way, if any of you are unaware of the case I linked it is worth reading up on. Supposedly this case extends to municipalities from NJ to Texas. It basically worked as a pyramid scheme. Drug rep and doctors would recruit police, fire, municipal and public school employees to go to the doctor and get prescriptions for outrageously expensive compounded medications. The government employees would get a piece of the action and $10,000 cash if they could recruit five other government employees to play along. This thing is huge. A whole lot of people are in big big trouble. One doc pulled a gun on police and is now sitting in jail. A couple suicides that supposedly are people who were going down. Police fire and school teachers who could go to jail, be fired and lose their pensions. Its insane.GromsDad said:I'm in favor of the death penalty for guys like this.
