Baby Boomers and GenX really haven't done anything better than Millenials have done. What are some of the crowning achievements of Baby Boomers? Losing in Viet-Nam?
There was that whole civil rights movement? You know, marching in the deep south, getting killed for it, etc etc. You should read up on it.
And it wasn't the boomers who lost Viet-Nam. They weren't old enough to be in command. They were the ones that were ordered to go bleed and die in a useless war. Which they did. Until they became disillusioned and told the Greatest Generation to go fvck themselves, thus ending the war with citizen resistance from the young. Grassroots resistance to government policy. How revolutionary?
The ecology movement, the free speech movement, the feminist movement, the sexual revolution, I believe all of that was largely boomers wasn't it? The Stonewall Riots, (look it up) Rock and roll, recreational drug use... :smokin:
Weren't Woodward and Bernstein boomers? They took down a president. What have you done lately?
The boomers got their asses beaten by the police for having long hair, they were gunned down by the national guard for protesting the war, they went to jail for years if caught with a joint. There was arguably more real societal change in the 60's than just about any previous decade. You don't like the world you inherited from them? You should have seen it when they got it sweetheart.
They teach you any history at all?
