So, Trump's not only making America great again, he's making school lunches great again.

I'm biased because I gave you a compliment?

Do you understand what a bias is?

I'll say it one more time so you understand.

You, despite your multiple trolls, your constant spamming of your wacky politics, your love level of intelligence, are still better than gross dad.

You're welcomes

I have no idea what school lunches are like now, but they were pretty fucking terrible when I was in school. Stale bread and indistinguishable mystery meat, and you had to pay for it although normally I'd just swipe a freebie or two. Things only can go up from that sh!t. I was pretty impressed the last admin addressed that issue.

Mooshele decided that potato's, salt, and dietary fat were bad and had them summarily removed. She also then made the decision that complex carbohydrates are healthy and that growing kids should be in a calorie deficit. I think she came up with this from episodes of Oprah.

We're producing a ton of chefs from culinary schools now since it's a hip profession. Could easily hire a few to work in our schools. But no we'd rather give kids fast food and soda

So Michelle put chicken nuggets on the school lunch menu?

Damn you Michelle, you cruel bitch.

that photo as far as USA is
You are right. Totally fake.

It's much worse.

Kids like that stuff.

besides the fruit and possibly the salad or sausage depending on day every single one of those meals from other countries would result in waste.

Kids learn, given the opportunity.

Fulfilling their every whim is kind of defeating the idea of education.

Tasty food is tasty food.

Kids learn their eating habits at home and (especially) from their peers. Since our pop culture doesn't support the value of education the schools are in no position to accomplish the 180* change in preferences.

My grandaughter has always taken her lunch to school because her parents don't want to deal with the hit-or-miss situation with the cafeteria food. Since this here's America they still have that right.

I agree with you. However, I swear their palettes are just different when they are young and they will go hungry a lot longer than an adult will if they don't like what's given to them.

At home, its easier to allow them to explore what they like and don't like. In a school situation where there are budgets involved, its easier to feed at the lowest common denominator.

When you factor in budgets with the fact that there are so many kids with allergies and dietary restrictions you reach the point where you can only serve "crap." Chicken Pad Thai would be looked at as radioactive poison by some parents

I remember the school lunches were much better when I grew up under republican presidents. Michelle Obama definitely ruined the good lunches that we had.
Really? What decade(s) and what did these lunches consist of?

A few points:

1. You are not required to eat the lunches sold at schools. If you want your kids to eat a healthy diet, make them lunch, or have them make their own lunches.

2. Do you think that public schools in the Bay Area, Upper East Side, McLean VA, Greenwich CT, or Short Hills NJ have these sh*tty school lunches?
