So it is safe to say that we lost the war in Vietnam and 53 years later it is still a Communist country?

I'd mostly agree with FecalFace in the context of the Cold War and posit that North Korea was the country we bombed.

In conclusion:

Genocidal totalitarians invade country, US bombs country = decent outcome

Some shareholders and/or corporatists don't like the poors doing the land reforms or electing someone who doesn't protect their commercial interests and US bombs country = bad outcome.

One could argue that indiscriminate bombing of hundreds of thousands of civilians who died are not better off.

Even Truman had nightmares about it.

Maybe I should have qualified it as every war America started.
America didn’t really start Vietnam.

Every single country that America dropped the bombs on, is either worse off or at best, the same.

It's almost like there's a message there.

Yeah, leftists HATE America, and that's why we we should elect leftists. :crazy2: You are referring to Vietnam, a nation which defeated the United States. Like China, Vietnam's economy is rocking mostly because the US trades with them.

.....and Germany and Japan are still ruled by dictators, and are still murdering and subjugating their neighbors.

Not only did that NOT happen, but America created democracies in those nations. We returned control of them and their subjugated neighbors to their citizens. We instituted the Marshal Plan and virtually went broke delivering food to Germans.

The United States is the only country I know of which has not simply subjugated its vanquished foes. The only exception which comes to mind is the Civil War and the rape of the South.

It's a freaking crime the hate-America cr@p being stuffed into children's heads these days.

Yeah the Southerners would have had it so much better if they'd been marched from Georgia to Oklahoma.

Might still be Communist on paper, but a De Facto Ally against increasing Chinese aggression.

Read The Sympathizer and The Committed, as well Viet Than Nguen's memoir, for a fun tromp through the Amero-Nam war.
