dont worry about it. making templates is tougher than it looks.

i hate it. dont bother with them anymore.
i figure ill pay someone to make me a bunch sometime...i dont have time do sit and hand sand masonite all day <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

Just redraw your outline inside your new cut line, and when you lay it on a blank, just jockey it over past the stringer, to make your width.
Templates take time and patience.
I like that DK dude, it's guys like him that kept me in food in the mid 70's, up until cab driving daze.
Some guys have nothing but time, and need something to whittle away the wee hours.
Hmmmm... you know everyone cuts out the templates with a jig saw, then planes the high spots, then surform the high spots, then sand with 36,50,80, and 120 before it's finished. All that could easily take longer than shaping a board!

haha! yup you got it just about right.

i figure ill tell one of my buddies that comes over every other day and watches me shape, and does little repair jobs that ill give him some fins, or 10$ or something. itll keep him occupied.

ill probably make some when i have time, but i havent had time in a few months, and with my S.D. trip coming up and having to finish 3 boards befor tuesday....having to finish my longboard, my fish....and make a pink funboard for some girl, im kinda busy.

atleast im makin cash <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
