First thing I look at when a shaper has a Tomo style planing hull are the fins. If they’re forward and towed out, that’s usually a sign that the design is off.

It seems to many that his slippy slidey few waves in that pseudo heat were more interesting and fun than the rest of the contest. If he was riding his typical board that would not be true.
