That, however this is still the sprinkles and at the best the icing on the cake. The real issue is the poverty, crime and hopelessness in poor neighborhoods that lead to situations where George Floyd is paying for daily wares with counterfeit bills. Protesting police reactions to people in that situation is a bandaid on a broken leg and a distraction from the root cause.
None of the DEI or BLM stuff is willing to touch that issue, even when they are handed millions of dollars.
George Floyd was pulled over in a Mercedes and had a job. I don't think neck-kneeling helps trust in the community between the police and the citizenry which IMHO is highly relevant to the crime portion.
BLM I think addresses that directly, and DEI IMHO is designed to get more black people "in the room". YMMV
