“The NFL national anthem debate is alive and well again—can't believe it!" Trump wrote on Twitter. "Isn't it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart? The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!"

tRump... paying attention to the important stuff and looking out for the little guy!
That's a page straight out of the communist playbook.

I know because I was there.

How did Amazon even survive all these wage starved almost 25 years? :bawling:
The gap is widening.

If you think the wage stagnation is funny, you are the one who doesn't see the "big picture".

Dummy.
My wages have been stagnant for years. I just find different ways to make a bit more. Occasional OT, side work, etc;. We may be finally raising our rates again soon.

Our recent 10-15 years next to zero inflation tends to hurt wage growth. We actually could use some inflation to get the wage ball rolling again. Higher interest rates tend to do that, and it's finally starting. Never thought I'd be cheering for inflation. Nobody knows what run-away inflation looks like unless you lived thru the 70's. Or some self-destructing socialist economy like Venezuela recently.

Also, peoples savings in bank accounts are actually starting to get interest payments higher than the inflation rate. In the past 10 years, cash savings accounts were actually LOSING money due to next to ZERO interest payments, and inflation still in the 1 to 1-1/2% range annually. Even our minimal inflation was higher than savings interest rates, so it was a net loss in the long run.

Now, even Money Market accounts are paying 1-1/2 to almost 2%. 2% is a HELL of lot better than 0.01% most were paying a few years ago. My couch cushions paid better interest than most banks.

Uh no, authoritarianism, nationalism and bigotry is why I left in the first place.

And now I get to witness it all over again. :toilet:

Authoritarianism and bigotry is right up your alley though.

Sorry for your loss.
If your line of work is in such high demand, why not raise prices :confused2:
China companies offer to design cheap in conjunction with fab/assembly orders to eventual production levels. But many USA customers are coming back realizing the quality and service there is crap, unless its super simple cheap stuff. Cell phones, for instance, are in such large volumes, they can afford to just throw away the fails, and don't even bother trying to trouble-shoot them. Time and money wasted. They do take the time to remove the expensive parts, and re-use them (a process that creates problems in itself).

But others with only 1000's or 10's of 1000's orders (high end products that cost many $1000's) can't afford even low % failure rates.

We've been doing more re-designs of more high-end denser projects from China/Taiwan, as many just simply fail or have high rates of failures after short field testing. Some have $100's in components for a single PCB. Multiply that by 100's, 1000's or more in single pre-production runs, and try to justify that run as scrap?

So, we charge some more, some slightly less depending on their dedication and level of service needed. Some pay whatever it takes to get a good job done, and don't complain. Others just want it fast and cheap, no matter what. They figure they can fix the problems on the next pass. We tend to do it right the first time, and are known for it and they keep coming back.

It's competitive, but there's been a graying of senior level talent, with few young bucks to take our retiring places. Some that do, lack the same time tested talents and attention to detail, and put out faulty, problematic product. It's tough to keep trusting/hoping they'll learn next time.

Says the guy who wants to ban MUSLINS because they're diluting his culture and is a self proclaimed chauvinist.

He's probably in an industry like mine. The race to Zero. Plenty of demand but competitors who are stupid giving it away just to get the business. They can't differentiate themselves in any other way than price so they lowball every quote. When that happens nobody in the industry in that region makes any money. Eventually it sorts itself out but not until the weaker competitors die off or move on to do the same thing elsewhere.
