today I popped my keelfish's cherry, one thing I noticed, is that at the most inoppurtune times it bucked me off, unlike anyother board Ive ever surfed, like I didnt just fall off it THREW me off and I usually smacked the water pretty hard on my back

any one else experience this?

I had a fish styled after the Lis fish. Really straight outline and straight up fins. The board had a tendancy to track when I was in the flats and wanting to redirect. It wouldn't do that if I was in a steeper part of the wave though. The board was more down the line vs. short, snappy turns. It worked really, really well in fast waves. Maybe your board is like mine, and you need to stay in the pocket more...

LIS,
With a fish you really need to focus on driving off your front foot. When you surf off your back foot you end up on your ass. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />
