imagine if you lived in Australia, Indo, Hawaii or anywhere with good surf and you had to travel to HB to compete in poor, bumpy, weak surf?
I didn't watch 30 seconds of this comp, but I like that they have to surf the same crappy conditions I do, if only for a week at a time.
There have been new pros and what some would call "b-c grade pros" who have done exactly that and walked home with a $100,000 check.
