C'mon now. Anyone who surfs the west coast knows it and knows it well. There are many landmarks, some well known, some not so well known. Or just cool spots, spots burned in your memory just as deep as the back seat of that '63 Nova. (damn that was cramped!)

It's all about Pacific Coast Highway peeps.

Use this thread to post pics of those spots - past, present, future, named, unnamed. Waves, beaches, buildings or hookers, anywhere and anything visible along Pacific Coast Highway or a derivitave thereof, whatever city or state it may be in, from the tip of Baja to all the way to Alaska...and BEYOND!!!

Let's rock... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/computer.gif" alt="" />

Here's a familiar one from last week in North OC.

Kauai's north shore ~
My dad was on the search and rescue team for VC Fire when he was younger and said they used to have to pull drunk sailors off that rock at least once a month. They would climb up with a six pack and be too scared to climb down.
Iconic photos.
Always a "distance marker" for me going north and how much longer it would take me to get to a surf spot. Photo's made me :giggle: :waving:

This is a pretty impressive shot. I can't think of anything high enough from that angle to get that shot. I thought it must be a drone shot, but 2006 is pretty early for drones.

Oh yeah, and all my kids were born just to the left of there.

Looks like a big telephoto shot. Crisp too so probably 600mm L. You can be pretty far away to get a shot like this.
