It's a guest opinion column, not even an opinion column from someone on the editorial board. Not sure what the "in some cases" caveat is and like you say it's paywalled. Can't read (paywall) but based on your recent track record, I very much doubt it says what you think or claim it does.
Or you're bad at synthesis. Let's put everything together. What do you think is behind the booster push? It isn't science. Vaccine effectiveness against hospitalization - what was tested in the clinical trials - remains as strong as day 1. Why did Tiny Tony just shift the definition of "fully vaccinated?" Why has the Biden administration come out in favor of boosters first at 8 months, then at 6, then at 5 if there's no need for most people? What caused these FDA vaccine experts to resign? Can't read (paywall) but based on your recent track record, I very much doubt it says what you think or claim it does.
The New York Times is definitely not anti-vaxx.The NYT is anti-vax:
Opinion | New Guidance on Booster Shots Gets Ahead of the Science (Published 2021)
The responsibility for making decisions about getting boosters in some cases has shifted onto individuals and their doctors.www.nytimes.com
Not true. And rightfully so - if you are in the healthcare sector and do not understand vaccines, you really should be working elsewhere.
indeed but "they went to school for these kind of things"Even most MDs know very little about vaccines.
This why MDs specialize and defer to those who work in the appropriate specialty.
The biggest excuse seems to be fetal stem cells something rather.Seems like the healthcare workers understand non-sterilizing vaccines that only reduce infection and transmission better than you. VE against transmission wasn't a trial endpoint and it falls off quickly. What's the plan - get HCWs jabbed every 5 months? Hmmm...that lines up with Biden's statements.
Edit: also, are these HCWs opposed to ALL vaccines or just these? Likely they've had many others. What's making them so hesitant to get these? Safety?
Is the excuse the same as their internal reasoning, or just the reason they're giving to get out of it?The biggest excuse seems to be fetal stem cells something rather.
