Saw Mike a couple times this past summer. He was riding a board from Bret. Said he loved getting boards from Mayhem but it was also good working with Bret since he was just down the street.

Wayne has some beautiful boards on his IG feed too. But it's private so didn't want to step over the line to post them. That bright green one looks great. Hope the guy getting it can surf because everyone at his local will know it's him when he stands up. Hahaha

Hahaha. I have them on ignore. Mahalo Wayne. I'll repost some when I get home. Can't figure how to post pics from my phone. I love the shots from your shaping bay with the shadows I can really see the curves.

This was a good thread. Keep it positive. Saw this on Simon's IG. Looks fun.
Widepoint back with a pronounced hip.

Wouldn't mind giving this one a go.

Anyone know the fin set-up?

Curious of your thoughts on boards with the widepoint back Greg?

My guess is you're not of fan due to the area reduction (or lack there of) behind center.

Am I on the right track?

Well, I'm sure I've had many in the past, but never paid attention to anything but dims back then.

My guess is that it moves the sweet spot for the front foot and the pivot point of the board further back and benefits those with a narrower stance.

However, I'm also guessing its probably not the most hydrodynamic outline, but like almost everything else in design, is a compromise.

Here's one of the boards from Wayne's IG that caught my eye. I love round tails and green boards. Hahaha.

I have a Aipa story about bright boards. . One morning I came in and Ben was checking the surf. He told me I saw your last wave I thought that was you with the bright green board. Nice turn. I told him thanks most times my friends tell me they saw me eat it. Ben smiled told me he saw me fall too. Then just started laughing. Hahaha Ben has a great laugh.
