F******* horrendous.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/13/nyregion/faa-helicopter-crash-harnesses.html

Seatbelt harnesses only accessible from the back, and the floats malfunctioned. How are these things allowed in the air?

I went on a chopper ride in Hawaii once. I've turned down every opportunity since.

Wrong again. The solution is obviously more helicopters in the sky.
I disagree.

Only when all air travel is banned will we be safe.

WTF?

This is political?

Was the helicopter only flying to the right or something?

Propeller driven bathtubs piloted by pit bulls will be the future.

That is probably the most sensible thing you have written in years.

I may have to make that my new signature.

I agree. This shouldn't be political. And, even though I agree that regulations are necessary in many/most instances, this seems more like another case of regulations that are already in place not being effectively enforced.

Is this Heli a quad or a thruster? I bet if it had more rocker on the nose it wouldn't have flipped on impact.

I don't get how the pilot didn't get anyone out of the choppa...

he is runner up for most baggage behind the Parkland security officer.

WTactualF?

the thing didn't sink immediately based on the video that I saw.

I can't fathom just watching people drown.

I do not like helicopters. even less so now.

Crazy. Close enough that that was on the news immediately. Hard to believe they would design a harness that the occupant couldn't easily detach in an emergency. Given the nature of that particular crash the only fatalities should have been due to hypothermia if you ended up in the water.
